Supplies and Equipment to Prepare
To create your artificial flower wall, you will need:
- A large variety of artificial flowers in different shapes and colors (roses, peonies, etc.).
➡️ You can calculate the quantity by looking at how many flowers you can typically fit in a square measuring 10 cm on each side, depending on their size. Simply multiply that number based on the dimensions you need.
- A sturdy cardboard, a large, thin, and lightweight board, or a piece of plexiglass cut to the dimensions of your wall.
➡️ If you’re looking to create a large wall or if your support is quite heavy, I recommend making several panels. It will be much easier to hang them this way!
- A hot glue gun along with refill glue sticks
- A wire cutter that is strong enough to cut thick wires of 1mm (e.g., electrician’s pliers)
Flower Wall: Step-by-Step Tutorial
First, lay your holder flat and clean it thoroughly.
Next, use a pair of cutting pliers to trim the stems of several dozen flowers to get started.
Then you can start to arrange them and then stick them tightly, alternating between smaller and larger pieces, as well as varying colors if desired, to create a beautiful natural-looking pattern.
Next, prepare additional flowers, attaching them in the same way until you cover the entire surface. Your wall will then be complete!

The Garland Technique
To create a lighter decor that requires fewer supplies, you can also make flower garlands by tying flowers at regular (or irregular) intervals onto long strings or colorful ribbons. You can choose to leave the stems on or cut them off, depending on the effect you want to achieve.
👉 If you want a more natural look, you can also choose to attach your flowers to some artificial ivy vines.
Finally, hang your newly created garlands vertically on a sturdy wire stretched horizontally, or on a flower wall about 8 inches high that can serve as support!
